The main addition is screen time control in Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox and Opera. Parents can now limit both website content and the time their child spends in the browser.
What's new
- Daily limits and access schedules. Set a different time allowance for each day of the week and choose when websites are available. Apply restrictions to all websites or selected domains, and add exceptions for resources you need.
- Shared time balance for each profile. Usage across connected supported browsers is combined: switching browsers does not provide a new daily allowance.
- Remaining time in the extension popup. A clear indicator and live countdown show the time available. A warning appears before the limit is reached.
- Request an extra 15 minutes. When the daily allowance runs out, a child can send a request to their parent. The parent approves or declines it, and the child sees the result on the blocked page. Extra minutes do not override access schedules.
- VK Clips protection. Video and channel blocking rules now also apply to short VK clips.
Improvements and fixes
- Installation, blocked, and time limit pages have been redesigned, with clearer explanations and actions and improved light and dark themes.
- Time tracking has been improved for reading and watching videos, including switching between videos without reloading the page. Hidden tabs do not use the time budget.
- After extra minutes are approved, the original website can be reopened.
- The allowlist now works correctly: allowed domains and their subdomains are no longer blocked because of keywords in their addresses.
- Interface translations have been completed across all 15 supported languages.
